I thought of another nice moment: in ANNIE HALL, when Woody Allen and
Diane Keaton meet after tennis. They have a banal conversation while
subtitles reveal their inner thoughts. This film is full of
extradiegetic gags and talking to the camera, which for Allen is like
talking to himself.
