The comedy Airplane! (1980) had some very funny interior monologue
scenes, some were just snippets, some were scenes of the main
character war flashbacks (parody of VietNam flicks cliche flashbacks).
There is a sequence build around what the characters are actually
thinking/feeling during a stressful moment...
