Why ?

If you read some of the popular press we're "winning the war on
terror" etc

"Hollywood" as in big budget theatrical features, then no, S16 is a
very minor player. (But last summer's uber-grossing March Of The
Penguins was S16mm in a digital blowup to 35mm)

But in television, things like One Tree Hill, Veronica Mars - Super
16. And in television films outside the US, esp UK S16 is quite common.

Lower budget (not Uncle Joe's Used Cars type) TV commercials etc.

Countless "Indie" features...
