35mm scanned in 4K should render each film grain across a dozen pixels.
If the digital image is then recaptured on film using an Oxberry,
with three exposures for each frame (color separations using primary
colors), then the grains should be exposed correctly with the
information from the source material. If done carefully the
information should remain faithful to analog film quality with no
digital loss.
