Improvisation for Double Bass and Double Projection is a random access
video performance that uses short recorded video sequences of a bassist
that are triggered from MIDI keyboards. The "editing" happens in real
time to create a sort of 21st century prepared piano piece out of the
material. This piece uses 2 data projectors, 2 computers, and 2
keyboards. Various configurations are possible including dual screens
and 2 projections overlayed on a single screen. The bassist improvises
live against the triggered recordings of his own playing.

NYU composers: Peter McCulloch, Jonathan Zalben, Dinu Ghezzo/Christine
Ghezzo
EMF participants: B. Chadaby,
