LONDON FILM FESTIVAL
18 October - 2 November 2006

The London Film Festival endeavours to incorporate a strong presence for
avant-garde, or artists' film and video, in its programme. Since 2003, our
"avant-garde weekend" has presented a concentrated selection of artists'
work at the National Film Theatre, with many of the makers attending
screenings. This year's London Film Festival - the 50th anniversary - will
take place from 18 October to 2 November 2006.

I am very be interested to hear about any works completed in the last 18
months or currently in progress. If you are a film or video maker, please
send tapes of recent works for preview and consideration. If no previews are
available then send details of the project. Please note that the festival is
not able to present installations or gallery-based work at this stage.

Official regulations require that works will receive their UK theatrical
premiere in the Festival. Prior theatrical, UK Festivals, UK television
screenings, internet transmission or dvd / video releases in the UK
disqualify films from entry. In certain cases, archival restorations may be
considered.

Further information on eligibility and regulations are on the LFF website :-

Submissions can be sent for my attention to the Festival office, or
preferably directly to me. Please contact me for addresses, or if you would
like further information.

Details of the "Experimenta" programme from 2005 can be found at :-

With best wishes,
