Ken,

I just spent about four weeks trying to track down this film, with a
little help from my Frameworks friends, and here's what I came up with:

George Eastman house has a 35mm restoration print; they also have a
16mm reduction print made from it, but to my knowledge that print is
currently "on tour" with a musical group called Nexus. Other
distributors, including Criterion USA, had it, put apparently the
rights lapsed. New Line might - MIGHT - have it, but they may have
faced the same situation as Criterion.

BFI also has a 35 print for rent. Don't know about the quality.

As far as I know, MOMA does not have it. It's not in their catalogue,
but I suppose it would be worth a shot.

Good luck finding it - I'm dying to see it myself.
