Chuck,
    We want Fred to be motivated to buy films and show them on his own dime.
Please don't bug him about it.
    Meanwhile, people get to choose (for now) whether or not they have
children and everyone on this list is smart enough to foresee the
ineluctable alternatives that ensue. In essence, people who get children
are consciously passing up the chance to afford art to a certain degree.
    My thanks to Fred for (1) not having children, though he'd probably make
a great father, and (2) spending money on film. We have too many of one and
not enough of the other.
