Hi All,

I've been lax in getting our winter event on the This Week in Avant-Garde
Cinema, and missed the deadline for this Friday's program.

Breaking the Frame Series: LoVid and James Fotopoulos Live Video Performance

LoVid and James Fotopoulos in Person!

Video duo LoVid (Tali Hinkis and Kyle Lapidus) and Chicago's own film/video
maker James Fotopoulos will present an evening of live video and audio
performance work and single channel work which will stimulate your senses
and provide some respite from a cold, gray Chicago winter. LoVid scrambles
ordinary TV output into hyperkinetic audiovisual abstraction using homemade
electronic devices, repurposed analog toys, and low-res video loops. In the
duo's real time performances, an intense, variable audio signal disrupts the
video's horizontal raster lines into swirling or stroboscopic patterns. Not
to be missed!

Admission: $8 general; $7 students; $4 Chicago Filmmakers members
