(Super) Reel Dames
Film Festival 2006
Are you into experimental motion pictures, playing with film, and sticking your camera in new and exciting places? If so, (Super) Reel Dames, a festival for feisty filmmakers of the female persuasion, wants YOU!
(S)RD, in association with Cat Call, seeks to regroup and celebrate women’s film and related projects, and to network and showcase this work to the public.
For our first ever festival we will screen a diversity of films, with a focus on the glories of (Super) 8 – the most accessible, affordable and fun film around – so it’s the perfect time to dust off those old reels, or shoot new ones. (Don’t worry, non-Super 8 films will also be accepted).
(S)RD is now taking submissions for our March 2006 screening. Please send us your experimental, shorts, animations, docs and more. Deadline Friday, January 27. Don’t delay.
Help make the first Super Reel Dames Film Festival a success. We are open to all kinds of films and experiments. If you have questions, or would like to volunteer, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Guidelines:
- Submissions must be in digital (DVD preferably) or Super 8 format. Soundtracks for Super 8 can be submitted on CD.
- Submissions must be women-fronted projects
- Max length 15 minutes
- Tell us about your film, yourself, and how you fell into filmmaking
- Include your name and contact information
- Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope if you want submissions returned
*We will take good care of your stuff, but (S)RD can not be held responsible for lost or damaged submissions.
