Transferring the innards of a VHS tape - Los Angeles

Hi all,

I have a VHS tape that was eaten by by VHS deck right at the head of the
tape, and the VHS box itself cracked. I opened the tape and removed the
tape on its spools. But trying to transfer it to another VHS tape box is
quite difficult, due to the flimsiness of VHS cassette boxes, and those
several little pins & screws that need to line up when closing one up. It
is beyond my capability.

Normally, for VHS, I wouldnąt care so much, but this is the only NTSC VHS
preview screener of a filmmakerąs work.

Anyone know anyone in Los Angeles who might have the skills needed to put
this into another box, or even just to transfer it to a new tape? I have
called Lightning Dubs, but they will charge a minimum of $75 to try, with no
guarantee of success. I will take it to them shortly, but thought I would
see if any of you might know anyone.
