Not surprising to me.
Sometime I'll write here about "The God Of Day Had Gone Down Upon Him"
and "The Thin Red Line" and why I think these two films can be
considered in relation to each other. (It's not to do with one being
aware of the other)
But not now, it's not a simple thing.
