I don't disagree, but almost in contradiction to its title "Outer
Space" lets you inside the mise-en-scene so to speak.

Although I'm as drawn in to "crazy or not" narratives as well, they are
after all - a trick - "only the author knows for sure" stuff.

I think they already made the million bucks, now they only have to keep
iterating the money ;-)

Really I don't think they CAN "go there" -- they can deconstruct but
it's "Being John Malkovitch" IOW they won't do it without the
explanation... portals etcet. Van they admit the sheet of plastic ? I'm
not so sure....
