Whether helpful or not, aren't ads, an unsolicited mix of allegation and information?
Unsolicited, precisely. In that, they make me think of unsolicited "lovemaking".
When going for a walk, etc., etc.

On the magazines, you add

Something to do with unscrubbed sequels of parental inculcation?...
