And if you have bothered to decipher all of this, you might grasp the
wit of it all. Or not. Avant-gardists are notoriously self-absorbed
humorless puffers with a sense that there's only one audience and one
right way, and that the audiences for avant-garde film should NEVER be
any larger than it is by writing about it for more people to read
outside of the coterie. At least on this list, that would seem to be
the conclusion.
