I started a long reply to Gregg B's post re film and technology but
don't have time to finish it now.
There's a lot of false dichotomy mixed in with real and important
differences, film v digital. Moreover, you can't just say "video" or
"digital" especially and mean anything clearly. (this summer's biggest
blockbuster whether Michael Bay likes it or not is a 16mm film *enabled
by digital technology* to hit the big screen. I think the Penguin folk
aren't bemoaning anything ;-)
