Until stem cell research ushers us into the age of regenerative film I
guess we will all have to settle for the traditional splicing tape, the
"American Cinema Equipment" supplies, the "Perf-Fix Sprocket Hole Repair
Tape" and its counterpart the no longer made "Perf-Fix" machine, the
"Cinebug" machine, also hard to find, and what I am told off list the
"Cinecare Film Perforation Repairer".

Since there were no sprocket hole savvy gals in the mix all I can say
is...Thanks guys!

Perf-fix sprocket repair machines have been out of production for some
time, no? You see them from time to time on eBay or through dealer$ but
they are difficult to come by. I was lucky enough to find one through the
good folks at Alpha Cine. A rare find, thanks RK Adams.

Cinebug is another device that I see on eBay. I have one of these are well
and found that it works pretty good, but I've used several machines that
were in a poor state. These usually go for less than $100.

Here in Portland, American Cinema Equipment sells sprocket repair tape for
a decent price.
