I have no issues with work transfered to DVD for "home
use only" so that other filmmakers, artists, and the
film public can enjoy them in the privacy of their
home, etc
It gets the work in the hands of many who do not have
the opportunity to see them.
I object to the screening of these DVDs (intended for
home use) being shown in classrooms, by exhibitors,
Museums, galleries. The film prints that are
relatively easy to get, although often costly. And
film is the format that is recommended for classrooms
and public exhibitions.
