It was discussed on this list a year or two ago that Rubin was involved
with Shirley Clarke in shooting some footage of Ornettte Coleman, some of
which is in Clarke's film Ornette: Made In America (1985). Intially, I
asked the question because I wondered if any the 1960s footage of Ornette,
David Izenzon, and Ornette's son Denardo was part of a completed film.
Someone on this list (maybe James Kruel) mentioned that they thought Rubin
and Clarke started the film in the mid-to-late-1960s, and it was only
later (after Rubin's death?) that Clarke revisited and eventually
completed the film which was released in 1985.
