The Golden Age of experimental film was the 50s and 60s. I see very few good
films today. A lot of the work is derivative in that it just responds to or
comments upon someone else's work. Yes, every artist is influenced by other
artists, but good artists express themselves--their own unique view of the
world, their own individual personality--above all else.
With that, I'm disengaging from this thread because the so-called
"discussion" is too hostile.
