Didn't Kenneth Angeer have this problem even tho he
did originally liscence the music (Blue Velvet) but
only for his film not for video release (not existing
then)!

This has changed a bit over recent years as many
countries have gottn together to clarify this, but
there are still countries that are outside of such
things.

I've often wondered about this, as in the u.k. This
film would presumably be still covered by copyright
but I suspect that most of the versions here are not
official.
Obviously theres stuff in the public domain too.
