Although common, this kind of thinking is pathetic.

As Jeff pointed out its the smaller media producers who get hurt the
most. More than that, I assume that people here on frameworks are
making films and videos and numberous other kinds of work. How do you
feel about your own copy rights? Can I copy your work and call it my
own? Can I distribute your work, make a profit and not share that with
you? Can I include your work in my work without paying you? I am
certainly interested in working with anyone who thinks that is a good
idea. I always need stock or interesting images, so if you think that
copyright is not important, send me your work for free and don't get
all pissy if it shows up on TV. I'll start with the person quoted
above, lets have it.

A few weeks ago I asked the list about the availability of a Chris
Marker film. I got an email off list from someone saying they could
create a copy, for a fee of course. THAT's TOTAL Bull Sh---T. Why
would I want to do that to Chris Marker? A film maker I respect, and
who is alive to benefit from the sale of his work.

Copy right is a no brainer people, why on earth are participants on a
list like this so selfish? How about thinking about the artist for a
change?
