Greetings,

This is a Call for Entries to Version02 of the The Center Cannot hold
project. The Center Cannot Hold is a continuously evolving political film
presented as ³Live Cinema², the performance of audiovisual narratives as
live mixing event.

The site address and further project description appear below, please
contact us regarding contributions and feel free to pass this email onwards:

http://www.thecentercannothold.com

The Center Cannot Hold represents the viewpoint of the American underground
resistance gone international. The project is designed as an evolving piece,
where each performance is considered an opportunity to study and absorb
culture-specific narratives into the mix. We use digital equipment, such as
laptops, mixers, and turntables to edit and remix many audiovisual tracks
together in realtime.

Created with a flexible open architecture, the project as live performance
features an evolving mix of original works, along with the works of other
artists we either sample or remix. We are issuing this call to artists
worldwide who have interest for their work to be mixed in a broader
cinematic narrative.

On July 19, 2005, we will be performing VERSION:02 of the project at the
PIRINEOS SUR world music and arts festival in the north of Spain. We may
also perform at Palais de Tokyo, The Hub in Dublin (MIT Media Lab) and/or
ICA in London. Things are in planning flux...

Some artists featured in Version01 of the project include Saul Williams, DJ
Spooky, Shepard Fairey (Obey Giant), Ryan McGuinness, The Barnstormers,
[sic], PanOptic, and many more as project evolves.

We are particularly looking for new media works for VERSION:02, including
Animation, Videos, Films, Music, Designs and Samples.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
