I'm glad you've had success with Evergreen.
Evergreen operates as a closed campus, which I think would be easier to
deal with living in Oly though I've heard complaints from others in
Oly...stating that it's very difficult to work with Evergreen and the
attitude is a basic indifference to the organizing efforts by people
outside the *walls* of the campus.
Some of the colleges and universities are like that here in Portland. A
great deal of work is involved in developing contacts. You can't rely on
std directories, or cold calling professors or staff and getting a
response. In many ways, these campuses seal out the communities which
surround them. And these are some of the last places which actually have
the resources (funding and facilities) to host filmmakers and film
programs.
