I think the ST (and maybe the RT) were the only "switchable" models that
came that way standard from the factory. Otherwise, one has to buy a motor
and shutter pulley as separate parts to make it switch 18/24.

The trouble with getting these parts is the shutter blades don't switch
they way the do in the Pageant 250S (note: 250E does *not* switch), so you
get a slight flicker when running at 18fps. Of course, not a big deal if
you like the flicker and probably wouldn't even be noticed by most folks.

The other option (though probably not really an option) is to get a Kinton
FP model that will run at variable speeds, or at least 16 and 18 fps. Some
Elmo LX models did this as well. But these are not portable machines.
