media city takes place here every february... and i'm somewhat
involved with that... but we show films made in 2005, not 1965...
the net result of which has me knowing more about the cinema of matt
mccormick than i do about peter kubelka. somehow that strikes me as
all wrong...

rep cinema died a violent death here a few years ago. the place is
unsuited for what you propose; there just aren't enough smart people
living here to support such a thing.

yeah, i understand what you're saying, but one can't do everything,
and i'm already involved in too many other cultural things as it
is... (though i am very keen on learning the art of projection...
been thinking about it for the last few months. but that's a whole
other kettle of fish.)
the lists! that's what i meant. more lists for the provincial hungry
minds without microcinemas, please!
