purchase either of the manual lenses. Canon made a 14X manual lense for the
XL1 that is still available for about $900. Or purchase the new 16X manual
/ servo zoom that is made for the XL2 for about $1300.
either will do.
The lens that comes with the XL2 is o.k. fairly clean easy to use in "run and
gun" situations, and it does have a way for your to pre set a focus pull on
board but both lenses mentioned above are better.
