Victoria: could you at least give us the name of some artists/works
you feel have been 'influential' to (or ripped offby) by the younger
generation? I mean there's the Milla Jovovich music video that
pastiches Meshes of the Afternoon, and i suppose some got paid for
that -- which is kind of disgusting. I guess the large point is that
some people support themselves by turning art into garbage, but this
probably isn't a viable strategy for artists... but in another vein
Milla's video is so cheesy it's kind of amusing (some grades of
garbage are more useful than others...)
