Hi Eric,
my experience is that in Europe a lot of (most ?) experimental-friendly
venues have 35mil projection now..
Even apart from the obvious quality differnces, 35mm projection is
overall much better, because in fact projecting a film on 16mm is much
more difficult to do well than 35mm.
On the other hand non-24 fps 35mm projectors seem pretty rare: i've
only seen them in film archives and in arthouse cinemas run by
projection-gear-enthousiasts...
making non-24 fps 35mm film probably means that they will be projected
at the wrong speed 80% of the time..
