This sends a blow to 1/4" tape availability, and low cost DAT tapes.
The situation for 16mm mag is ok. (Quantegy never got into this market.)
FPC, Nuvo, and Saphire all still manufacture 16mm mag. J&R Film Company
still lists MPC in their catalogue.
DATs are made by Sony (who still make reg 8mm video) as well as HHB,
Maxell, TDK, etc.
1/4" tape must have some other manufactures. Perhaps there are others who
can jump in with this info. Look at it this way...now you can get a Nagra
for a song.
