Hello all -

Just a quick update on the preservation of Robert
Nelson's and Will Hindle's films at the Academy Film
Archive... this is meant as an informal notice,
really.

In the works right now are new preservation negatives
of Hot Leatherette and The Awful Backlash. Robert is
also preparing a new track for Awful Backlash, as he
has been somewhat dissatisfied with the original track
since first making the film. However, we are
preserving the original track as well... no George
Lucas style jackassery being pulled here...

Also, Robert's film Confessions of a Black
Mother-Succuba, thought lost, has been resurrected and
is also near completion, preservation-wise.

As for Will Hindle, we're in the very early stages of
preparing for the production of new preservation
negatives on three of his films. The work will be
somewhat time-consuming, but the project is 100%
approved and already in progress. The three films are
Non Catholicam, FFFTCM (with thanks to PFA, who have
been caring for the originals for some time), and
Saint Flournoy Lobos-Logos and the Eastern Europe
Fetus Taxing Japan Brides in West Coast Places Sucking
Alabama Air. Also thanks to Shellie Fleming for
caring so thoughtfully for Will's films these years.

Titles to be worked on in the near future for Nelson
are Limitations, and likely Rest in Pieces and More.

For Hindle, Pasteur3 will probably be one of the next
to be worked on, with 29: Merci Merci and Pastorale
d'ete also likely candidates.

If anyone has further questions, don't hesitate to
email me.

Thanks much,

Mark Toscano
