Details:
Since (l966). color, sound, 66 min. A 2 reel excerpt from an unfinished
film.
The Kennedy assassination is re-enacted on the Factory couch, with Ondine
as
LBJ, Mary Woronov as JFK, Susan Bottomly as Jackie Kennedy, Ingrid
Superstar
as "Looneybird" Johnson, Gerard Malanga as Oswald, Ronnie Cutrone as
Ruby.
A broad farce with wild camera movements in which the assassinations
of
both
Kennedy and Oswald are re-enacted over and over again, "just like we've
seen
on tv."
Mrs. Warhol (l966). Color, sound, 66 minutes.
Andy Warhol's mother, Julia Warhola, at home in their townhouse with
Warhol's young friend Richard Rheem. Although the pretext of the film
is
that Julia is pretending to be an aging Hollywood movie star with 25
former
husbands, she spends most of her time ironing clothes, folding laundry,
cooking scrambled eggs, and chattering away to both Rheem and the camera.
An intimate and charming portrait film.
Callie Angell is Adjunct Curator of the Andy Warhol Film Project at the
Whitney Museum of American Art, and consultant to The Museum of Modern
Art
on the preservation of the Warhol films. She is writing the catalogue
raisonne of the Warhol films, which will be published by Abrams.
