over the last few weeks Frameworks has [facilitated/hosted] several
self-reflexive threads about the [quality/content] of the discourse
here. many ppl have posted that they have been unable to find
[similar/serious/engaged] platforms for connecting w/others who share
their interests in, experience w/ + desire for the
[themes/technologies/works/systems] discussed on Frameworks.
criticalartware is one such platform that you may be interested in.
i have previously posted criticlartware release nfo to Frameworks. as
you may already be aware, criticalartware is primarily [interested
in/activated by] the interstices of contemporary [conceptually/code]
based approaches to experimental media art theorypraxis. these
approaches (the early moments of Video Art, new media + artware) may
be [inside/outside] the frames of this list to a [greater/lesser]
degree but i believe they are relevant to the Frameworks community.
there have in the past few weeks been indications by some that
Frameworks may shift towards greater constraints in terms of the
discussions or content of postings. conversely, Frameworks may shift
towards more hybridity + include other approaches more
enthusiastically. in either case or in any third path,
criticalartware constitutes a viable + emerging platform for
[open/collaborative/interconnected] discussions which may interest
some Frameworkers. i wanted to bring that discursive functionality,
called liken, to your attn.
for those of you who share the interests that motivate
criticalartware, we have (after almost two years of development) just
released criticalartware Version.3.1415926535 which introduces liken,
the new substructure of the criticalartware [application/platform].
liken enables deeply interconnected, decentralized, personalized +
collaborative discourse to flourish amongst + intertwined w/our
shared resources (i.e. interviews with ppl involved in the early
moments of Video Art + artware, documents from + by those individuals
+ related connections).
for those of you searching for [serious/playful/engaged/convivial]
[tools/systems/platforms] for discourse on experimental media arts
that involve a [conceptual/code] base, please goto
http://www.criticalartware.net
create a login + contribute to the growth of these
[communities/discourses]. your [participation/contributions] would be
very welcomed + exciting.
