Well, I figure that if you are going to take it upon yourself to cause a Typhonian inversion of the Aquarian Age, what other choice do you have but to employ the necrophile narcissist musician? The soundtrack was recorded before curse was processed, the whole cinematic gesture of the film a metaprogram running on the juice of the precessional cusp of pisces to aquarius. Furthermore using the Beautiful Sun's (Beausoleil) soundtrack lends not only aesthetic value to the film, but also to its value as a testament of that transitional equinox and the darker side of that period, more clearly exemplified in the Demon Brother.
As for being black magick, perhaps that is the appearance that his workings may take to those clinging to the prejudice of the Old Aeon formula encompassing denigration of pride, subjugation of carnality, compulsory sacrifice of self and subsequent resurrection rather than the sublime continuity of consciousness set forth in Liber AL.

OK Fred. I give up. I do not mean the following as an insult, but
merely as an empirical observation: it is clear that you can neither
recognize a joke nor take one. So I shall furthermore avoid all of my
humble attempts at humor in attempting to communicate with you. The
truth is that I value your posts to this list very highly. However,
since I often disagree with you, and since you express yourself with
such a forceful personality, you are ripe for a little teasing in
response. I tease my friends, and they tease me. We are not friends
here on Frameworks, but I feel we are a sort of community, and it is
my wish that we could tease each other a bit, pluck each others
strings a bit, without creating a Holy Ruckous and calls for the list
to be policed etc. So I mean no harm, only a little joshing, but I'll
stop with you at least Fred, becuase it isn't getting anywhere.
I really do not see why people are taking Zedd so seriously. As
Richard's post indicates, Zedd appears to have presented a consistent
persona and theme throughout his films, other artworks and his posts
on Frameworks. Would we attack his films as being impolite, even if
they are? Why should we expect him to be any different on Frameworks?
Or to take another example from the canon, do we criticize Anger for
his Black Magick act? Is the proper response to take it seriously as
in literally, or seriously as in metaphor, illusion, performance. (I
actually think Anger went to far by using the work of an actual
cultists murderer as the music for Lucifer Rising, though I think it
is a very nice score).
So, to be clear, I was sincere about agreeing with Fred that we
should direct criticisms to ideas and posts rather than people
whenever possible. I think this should be the ethos of the list,
however, not the rule, as I think posters should be allowed to assume
any discourse position they feel like, and employ irony, hyperbole
and other tropes -- which might appear in the form of ad hominem
attacks, but within a sort of brackets.
But, again in the form of ethos rather than rule, I think we might
extend our notion of what properly collegial 'serious' discourse
entails beyond Freds distinction. To wit: Fred's comment to Roger
that 'you missed the subtlety of my point' is far more condescending
and arrogant than anyone who is trying to play it straight ought to
be. I know Fred has enough skill with words to make his criticism of
Roger's post without tossing those barbs in. I kind of wonder if Fred
is proposing a rule that that would defang other people's posts while
leaving his unaffected.
Anyway, that's my position: real fangs = bad; play acting fangs = OK.
And as a little constructive criticism: it wouldn't hurt a number of
folks on this list to make a stronger effort to distimguish between
the two when reading posts on the list.
