I mean, for instance, that James didn't have to explain to me how the
difficulty in naming women filmmakers has more to do with their exclusion
from film history than their nonexistence; this was the exact reason I
brought it up. Or that you didn't need to be pointing out the existence,
even today, of an "old boys network" in the university, and how lack of
encouragement leads to lack of mathematicians. These are things on which
we all agree.
