hello everyone,
to process color print stock at home you'd have to purchase a c-41
processing kit. i'm not sure how small the smallest kit kodak sells is or
how much it costs. you'd of course have to average out this cost over the
amount of stock you plan to process and make sure it's less expensive than
having a lab do it. with hand processing color, the issue is always keeping
the whole process at the "correct temperature" and the repeatability of the
results. good luck. let me know what happens. the place i work has an
ancient contact printer, and i consider printing color on it from time to
time. the relative in expensiveness of print stock would be the only way i
could affor to do color. originat in black and white and add color during
the printing. would be interested in finding out the cost and the results
in your case.
