Dear Fred:

Your thesis is this: "/perfect/" is not synonymous to "/great/." I
agree. But:

The question was, what constitutes "perfect", and that you have not
addressed.

I would call a film "perfect" if I /value it/ and wish /nothing to change/.
"Perfection" is then a subjective notion, but what isn't subjective!

This begs an example. OK, Paradjanov's 1968 "/Color of Pomegranates/" is
perfect for me.
