I recently got some test film from kodak; 100D slide film cut down and
perfed to 16mm and developed it at A-1 lab in NYC in their VNF bath. It
looked pretty amazing. A little cool perhaps, and when I exposed it at
asa 100 it looked about a half to a stop dark, but overall it looked
like ektachrome of old. You could try that. It was cheap, fast and
pretty satisfying. Unfortunately Kodak does not plan to release this
stock in 16, although it is available in 35.
