Indeed that was a bit harsh, but I felt it was necessary because it was
meant as a joke .

But I did not misunderstand anything, cutting the neg on it's frameline
would render the excersise useless, The Cinematography book you mention by
Malkiewicz
does have an actual illustration of this. Fred should have specified a
splicer that cuts the leader right on the frameline, not the negative. And
yes I am aware of the many variations of cements splicers, hence the reason
I pointed this out.

Jeff Kreines's posts are a lot more interesting than yours, because I
usually learn something from them, and I don't have to waste time
replying to them either.

Well I posted like 4 or times since being on this list for quite a long
time, I read Framework mostly without posting or responding to anything. I
believe Kreines has posted about 10 million times, it appears as if he has
nothing else to do in his life than this, and I do tend to find his coming
off has " mister knows everything that is always right" very annoying most
of the times.I have read quite a bit of his posts and honestly he seems to
forget or even forbid, that others might know more than him, that others may
have more experience than him. I have noted several technical mistakes on
his part.

That's just me. Others may bow to him as they see fit, but I refuse to do
so.

Perhaps I should refrain from posting on this list and just read what other
people post, sorry if I offended anyone.

Paul
PS not that it means anything but I've been involved in filmmaking since the
early 60's.
