I might accept "perfect" as in perfect circle, which is not to prefer
it to squiggles, wait, M. Fourier objects !

Nor would that oppose figure to abstraction, as I remember Dwinnell
Grant (am I name-dropping today or what ?) drawing freehand a
more-or-less perfect circle right in front of me (perfect compared to
anything most of us could do); well this was how he supported himself
as a medical illustrator - he showed me 5 or 6 pages of eyeballs that
day.....

I'll write anything in order to put off paying bills today.......
